- Quick and Easy to Make: With just a few simple ingredients and a blender, you can whip up this vegan ice cream in minutes, making it a convenient and healthy option for a quick dessert or snack.
Ingredients you will need
- Banana- Fresh or frozen. I use a fresh banana because the rest of the fruit is frozen, and having a fresh banana makes the blender run smooth and easy.
- Frozen fruit- Strawberries, blueberries, mango, peaches, or a tropical blend of frozen fruits work well.
- Plant milk- Just a splash of plant milk or water will help your blender process the frozen fruit.
How to make fruit nice cream
The recipe card at the bottom of the page has the full list of ingredients with measurements and instructions.
STEP #1: Start with bananas. For this version of nice cream, they can be frozen or fresh. Personally, I use fresh because the rest of the fruit is frozen, and having a fresh banana just makes the blender run smooth and easy.
For other nice cream flavors like my Chocolate Nice Cream, bananas are the only fruit, so they need to be frozen. But, for this one, either frozen or fresh works just fine.
STEP #2: Place the banana and other frozen fruit into your blender or food processor and blitz them until nice and smooth. You might need to add a tablespoon of water or plant milk to help get it nice and creamy.
STEP #3: Serve immediately for a soft-serve consistency or place it in a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least a couple of hours for a scoopable consistency.

Frequently Asked Questions
Bananas are the most popular base for nice cream due to their creamy texture when frozen and blended. However, you can also use other fruits like mangoes, berries, peaches, or pineapple. Combining different fruits can create unique flavors and textures, but bananas typically provide the smoothest consistency. That is why we use a combination of banana and other fruits for this recipe.
Yes, you can customize your fruit nice cream with various add-ins such as nut butters, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, or even a handful of spinach for a nutrient boost. Toppings like chopped nuts, coconut flakes, or fresh fruit can also be added for extra flavor and texture.
Leftover fruit nice cream can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer. However, it will harden over time, so when you’re ready to enjoy it again, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften before scooping. Alternatively, you can re-blend it with a small amount of plant-based milk to restore its creamy texture.

Sooo Delicious..
Can’t wait to try Fruity Nice Cream.
I make this all summer long. Can’t see any source for saturated fat in a banana or frozen berries. Also, almond milk or water doesn’t carry saturated fat either. Please help me understand where it came from.
Hi Judy- You’re right, there is no saturated fat. The number ‘1’ goes with the total fat listed. The letters and numbers are just too close together, I agree.
