It’s inexpensive and readily available
A lot of gardens are blowing up with zucchini during the summertime, and farmers’ markets are loaded with bountiful supplies. However, even during the winter months, many grocery stores continue to have a great supply of zucchini for relatively cheap.
Here in the Carolinas, I can usually find zucchini all-year-around at my local Ingles and Walmart stores.
