Sometimes I have to pinch myself to believe that these are the same painful hips I had two years ago. Honestly feels like I traded the old ones in for these newer model ones. I will never stop being overwhelmingly thankful for answers to prayers beyond anything I ever asked for or dreamed possible. I had only asked that they wouldn’t hurt so much, but look at me now!
I went for about 10 years having increasing inflammation and pain in many of my joints–hips, fingers, wrists, knees, shoulders, back, neck. My mom has rheumatoid arthritis and has been struggling with it since her 50’s. My blood factors were coming back negative as they do with most people with RA at first, but my symptoms were looking more and more like Mom’s. Scary times! My story can be found here.
So many people have asked me what made the biggest difference. I believe it’s FOOD– plant-based, whole foods, low-fat. I also walk 7 days a week usually 30-40 minutes and do gentle yoga 4-5 days a week for 20-60 minutes. Just steady gentle exercise, nothing major.
I’ve walked daily for the last nearly 30 years. The only exercise change for me was adding yoga. So, my restored health was not due to exercise. It’s the food!
