Interested in hosting classes?
Food for Life seminars are held nation-wide at hospitals, health resource centers, community centers, and other appropriate venues.
Classes are normally offered in 1 to 4-week series, meeting once a week. Sessions are flexible and can be adjusted to meet each venue’s needs, even down to a onetime 1-2 hour class. Each class includes a short 15-minute nutrition video lecture by Dr. Neal Barnard, educational handouts, cooking demo of 3-4 new recipes (so come hungry), all within a supportive setting.
Venue requirements are very few and do not include having a kitchen on the premises. What must be available for classes:
- (2) 6′ tables for cooking demo
- (1) 6′ table for serving table
- (1) small table for book display
- seating for all participants
- electrical outlet access
- large trash can
Terri Edwards offers classes in the following counties: Polk, NC; Rutherford, NC; Henderson, NC; Buncombe, NC; Greenville and Spartanburg, SC.
If your venue is further away, and you would consider doing a 1-time introduction class, rather than a full series, you do not have to be in service area listed above.
