There are so many makes, models, and sizes of Instant Pots available on the market right now. The most common are the 3-quart, 6-quart, and 8-quart varieties. The 6-quart is probably most popular because it is large enough to accommodate most people’s needs.
The 3-quart model is a great option for those cooking for only themselves, folks with small kitchens, and students in dorm rooms (if they are allowed).
Most of the Instant Pot recipes I’ve seen use the 6-QT model to test recipes. This makes it easier for you to make the recipe without any adjustments if you have the right size pot already.
